OutLoud Open Mike Coffeehouse

OutLoud Open Mike is a receptive, respectful environment for creative expression held at the Beebe Estate. The Open Mike is held the Fourth Wednesday of every month except August & December. Local musical artists and writers are featured, along with 10-minute Open Mike slots. Sign-up for Open Mike begins at 7:15 p.m., program runs 7:30-9:30 p.m. No cover charge, but donations are accepted for local charity. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Melrose Cultural Council. 

Friends of the Middlesex Fells

The Friends of the Middlesex Fells Reservation is a local non-profit organization that leases office space at the Beebe. The Friends are dedicated to the protection and harmonious use of the Fells, promoting awareness, policies, and programs that honor and preserve the landscape and heritage of this public resource for current and future generations.

Melrose Alliance Against Violence

The Melrose Alliance Against Violence (MAAV) is another local non-profit that leases office space at the Beebe. This community-based organization focuses on outreach, education, and community collaboration in order to raise awareness of the problems of bullying, teen dating, and domestic violence.

 

Beebe Estate Fine Art Exhibits

The Beebe Estate Association (BEA) sponsors monthly art exhibits at the Beebe Estate Gallery, featuring the work of local and regional artists.

Each monthly art exhibit features an Opening Reception the first Friday of the month, from 7-9 PM. Receptions are free and open to the public. Refreshments are served, and all work is available for purchase.

The Gallery is also open for public viewing every Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Artists interested in exhibiting at the Beebe Estate should send digital images of their work to Gary Borkan. Artists should submit at least five examples of their work. All submissions will be reviewed by the BEA selection committee, which meets monthly. 

Joyful Music

Joyful Music is a regional business that uses space at the Beebe to host music and movement enrichment classes for infants through preschoolers. Together with caregivers, children are exposed to a wide variety of musical styles, instrument play, and fun songs.
